Observation 148087: Helminthosphaeria clavariarum (Desm.) Fuckel

Notes: Collected from the shore of Star Lake by the research station. Growing in the grassy area, with some shrubs and trees (see photo). Found with the dark blue colour, but I suspect it used to be more yellow when younger. A surprising find.

A pyrenomycete! I just looked at the specimen again with a magnifying glass and can see what must be the black perithecia poking out. Thanks.
