Recognized by sight: Fruiting body tough with cap and stalk. Is circular and fan-shaped. Stalk is varnished and both stalk and cap are reddish-brown. Pores whitish and but browning with age. Stalk attached non-centrally.

Based on microscopic features: Spores are elliptical, double walled, and slightly roughened.
