Notes: Erect, pronounced scales on gray-brown (with yellow and green) cap. Stipe yellow-brown for most of length, white at base. Tubes angular, tight, thick-walled. Stipe flesh orange or yellow-orange, becoming nearly red-brown at base.


Cap with conspicuous erect scales.
Crowded, angular pores.
Stipe yellow-brown, orange-brown, dirty orange. White at base.
Stipe flesh yellow to orange; red-brown at base.
