ound growing on dead decomposing log in undergrowth in Tilden Park. Area had a variety of very tall trees, including some pines and hardwoods.

Average sized specimen. About 6 inches across.

I don’t see any scale bar in your photo. If you did not measure them, this observation could represent Ganoderma applanatum.
