Notes: Found in mixed conifer forest.
This was verified by Prof. Desjardin, but I forget the detail now, it was either amyloid spores, or amyloid peridium. I was told this one has been seen from time to time over the years up at the Yuba Pass. It was a good year for these, saw them a few times over the weekend. I saw another Rhizopogon that weekend also, that was yellow with pinkish-red hyphae on the peridium surface. But I didn’t get a photo of that one, just a good weekend for Rhizopogon.
