Observation 148500: Alpova trappei Fogel

Sporocarp being held in refrigeration, in hopes it lasts a week for display at Oregon Mycological Society Fall Mushroom Show. Will be sliced at that point, and the spores examined under a microscope.

Sporocarp dark brown, but with black areas.
Appressed rhizomorphs, mostly dark brown.
Sporocarp is actually 2 joined into one.
Details of rhizomorphs at presumd base, along with amber water droplets.
Close-up of presumed base of sporocarp. Rhizomorphs all come from small roolet, still attached. Odor fruity, like apples or spicy applesauce now.
