When: 2013-10-14

Collection location: Yost Park, Edmonds, Washington, USA [Click for map]

Who: Mark Lee (EdibleGuy)

No specimen available

Brick-red cap, grey gills, white stem colored yellow at base. Growing with Suillus species under true fir (Abies). Mild odor. I peeled the slimy membrane off the cap, sliced them and sauteed them in olive oil. Mild-flavored protein source was added to asian noodle dish. Yummy.
