In situ, on Bigleaf maple log (Acer macrophyllum).
Top of cap with orange to dun-colored scales or fibrils.
Gills sure look like Pleurotus, 4 inches wide. Note yellow staining near attachment.
Another view of the cap. I don’t believe I’ve seen this before.
