-specimens fused at base
-cap shiny and sticky when wet, margin not striate; 3 to 8 cm wide
-odor mild, taste mild to slightly unpleasant
-flesh white to off-white, rather thin, thicker toward stipe, thining toward margin
-stipe 40 to 60 mm long x 7 to 14 mm wide, prominently striate above annulus to apex
