Observation 149201: Pholiota aurivella (Batsch) P. Kumm.

Grwoing in cluster on the end of very Maple wood log.
Cap Convexed turning inward slightly Slimy with scale. Golden yellow.
Gills crowded atached to the stem slightly brown
Stem White with a slight tint to yelow to it inside white

Recognized by sight: Common Mushroom in Southern West Verginia this time of year. Have collected it for the table in the past but I found it edible but bland and some what slimy
