I actually come across these all the time around creeks and rivers. They seem to really like buried wood. As far as being caerulipes they are to big . A lot of the caps on these are three to four inches across and they can stand just as tall. The only months I do not find them are august , september and winter(dec-feb). Though they are more abundant in the early spring (where I have found friutiings that easily numbered in the thousands) I still run across them in the same places during fall just not in such high numbers.
