Recognized by sight: Sessile, growing in North America. Ganoderma lucidum is a European taxon and has not been proven to occur in North America. Lucidum also often has a stipe.

Recognized by sight: Ganoderma resinaceum is also a European taxon. described by the french mycologist Jean Louis Émile Boudier in 1889. the resinaceum group comprises at least six species worldwide. Murrill presented us with several names for north american taxa in this clade.

Do you have references I can read regarding the 6 species in G.resinaceum group? I am not finding much.
