Observation 149334: Tricholoma (Fr.) Staude

When: 2013-10-19

Collection location: Forest near Elgin St., Pembroke, Ontario, Canada [Click for map]

45.804° -77.1418° 200m

Who: Paul Derbyshire (Twizzler)

No specimen available

Growing on a well-rotted Pinus resinosa stump in Zone 33. At first I thought it might be a Pluteus, but the gills aren’t pink and appear to have notched attachment. This and the fine dark hairs on the cap make me think Tricholoma at this point.
