Observation 149340: Leucoagaricus naucinus (Fr.) Singer
When: 2013-10-19
(45.8044° -77.1457° 200m)
No herbarium specimen

Notes: At first I thought it might be a destroying angel, but the ring looks wrong (ridge around stipe instead of a skirt-like shape) and digging up the base found a bulb, but no sign of a volva (no cup, no fragments from clumsily wrecking one). So I think Leucoagaricus naucinus is likelier.

At the base of the stipe there’s a tiny little second one trying to grow from the same bulb.
