Observation 149520: Xerocomellus Šutara
When: 2013-10-21
(19.0412° -99.7867° 3043m)

Notes: Under Abies religiosa.

The larger one is about 6 inches across.

The context is light yellow, and occasionally reddish for about 1 mm near the cuticle. Stains blue very quickly, but never gets to be a very dark blue.

KOH darkens the cap slightly, turns the pores brownish-yellow, removes the blue from the context and darkens the red on the stipe.
