seem too whitish, not really yellowish, the stem should be more red brown especially from base up, not only on that part, which is where we see spore deposit many times. This is of course just my opinion, Terry. But I agree that the overall aspect is close to Tricholoma.

has brown coloration on stem and an off odor—also has the red to brown staining on the gills.

on stipe, could be spores (that’s what I thought), but it could be also just stain. What do you think? Can you make a spore print?
