Mary and I have two. They have an affinity for surfaces on which humans place the objects of human labor. They want to walk on the computer keyboard or parade around the microscope…and, oddly, they don’t care what they walk on.

I agree. Unfortunately I did not grab it. I had a wonderful collection of Amanita species to send you, but unfortunately my cat decided to jump up and slide across the collection table, leaving me with a mixed collection.

I don’t see much of the usual orange-brown in the cap in these photos. Also, the volva appears to have a rather weak structure. This might be something other than amerifulva.
