Notes:
Growing on the ground in mixed woods.
Caps up to 6 cm across and with bulb at base of stipe..
Colors are as found with no yellow staining.
Spores ~ 6.0-6.9(7.8) X 4.0-4.9 microns, smooth with 1-3 oil droplets(in KOH).
I believe they did have a slight anise odor.

that is one cool Agaricus.

It may not stain yellow, but what about the yellow flocculent uv? and the colored annulus?

edible too, sounds like.
