Recognized by sight: I don’t think this should be the only P. badiophylla observation on MO without better documentation. Doesn’t particularly look like the pictures I can find online either, but that doesn’t really say much for Psathyrella.

I can’t offer anything better than maybe Psathyrella subgenus Psathyrella. This is not a genus that one can just guess at and be right most of the time, especially when you start trying to identify the species with a rudimentary veil such as this. And its not like I voted down your ‘could be’, someone could still go to the P. badiophylla page and click ‘similar observations’ and find their way here while others won’t be able to post these pictures elsewhere under the name P. badiophylla while ignoring the confidence level which does unfortunately happen.

In this case, P. badiophylla is said to have a black print with a hint of red, your find seems to leave a purplish print…

For me

the “Could be” means a possibility, not a certainty, so, that description (not the photo), that I had already read before, fits well, I think, don’t you? Anyway, you could suggest other name(s) to it, once you know a lot more than me about.
