Notes: Growing under Douglas Fir next to Boletus zelleri. Cap diameter is 3-4cm, light brown over light purple, dry, almost flat with slight depression in center, darker towards the edge. Gills are purple, widely spaced. Stem is 10cm long, 1cm wide, shaggy, light brown/grey over pale grey background, and has a solid cross-section. Foot is light purple. Smell is sweet fungal, and chew-and-spit taste is mild and good like a grocery store button mushroom.
