Observation 150539: Conocybe Fay.

When: 2013-10-27

Collection location: Ricketts Glen State Park, Pennsylvania, USA [Click for map]

Who: Dave W (Dave W)

No specimen available

Maybe Pholiotina is a better name for this? I think I have eliminated Galerina by examining a small piece of the edge of the cap. I’m supposing what I’m interprting as cellular structure (see photos) is material from the cap cuticle. Found no filamentous structure. Spore size/shape seems interesting, widely almond-shaped with a pore.

On the ground in humus-rich area along a path.
