Observation 150555: Mixed collection
When: 2013-11-01
Collection location: Washington, USA [Click for map]
No herbarium specimen

Notes: (From left to right in first collection photo). I believe this is the first Psilocybe pelliculosa find in a lawn (it had wood chips underneath it) growing very close to Psilocybe stuntzii, Psilocybe baeocystis, and either more Psilocybe baeocystis or something that looks intermediate between Psilocybe stuntzii and Psilocybe baeocystis.

What do your instincts say?

Did you ever scope those? Kinda looks like cyanofibrillosa not the one with the annulus.
Yes.

I think what I collected here is actually all Psilocybe baeocystis – except for the one with the blue annulus (ring) which I’d call Psilocybe stuntzii. I hope there’s more soon!

Different.

I like your find. From the pictures I kinda feel this is not a mixed collection. Also feels like I’m not seeing any pelliculosa? I am still an amateur these are just my gut feelings. Maybe a patch of stuntzii? Not sure I’m seeing any baos, either. Very interesting I’m curious as to what they really are.
