there were two of them, one on each side of the same oak tree. it was hard to tell if they were attached to the tree or the soil. i think they were attached to both the soil and to the tree. the soil was black. i got one positive id from a member of the cvms. (http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/cvms/message/3488) but, i would like to get a few more opinions. i washed it and cooked it and right now it’s in my freezer.
