Observation 150905: Suillus pseudobrevipes A.H. Sm. & Thiers

When: 2010-10-31

Collection location: Wawona, Yosemite National Park, California, USA [Click for map]

Who: Ann and Rob Simpson

No specimen available

Notes:
It was in a grassy area at the edge of the golf course and the trail with mostly conifers as the canopy (Incense Cedar et.al.). Cap was pretty moist / viscid but pores appear to be a random arrangement and large bulbous stipe may make a Boletus sp. rather than Suillus sp. a better choice. The cap was pretty large – hand sized on the mature specimens.
