Found next to sidewalk, difficult to dislodge. No reddening of peridium noticed. Gleba purple-black, with white veins. Squashed appearance indicative of growing position. While it may not be apparante, the base of the specimen in the second photo is at the bottom.


In hand. Gleba has been accessed by some enterprising insect or slug, perhaps.
