Definately Scleroderma, but which species. Interesting feature is the base, which is arranged like an open flared golf tee or vase, but nothing in the center. Base composed entirely of white ropey rhizomorphs, but no soil between them.

Gleba is purple-black, with white veins. Peridium stains yellow to red or not at all.


In situ. Dark carbonated specimens still in ground, lighter specimen on top of ground.
