Notes: One of the specimens from the Oregon Mycological Society Fall Mycocamp, 25-27 October 2013, at Camp Magruder. Most were collected 26 October at Camp Magruder, with others collected within about 50 miles on the Oregon coast, and — fewer — in the Oregon Coast Range, or even as early as 23 October near Portland, Oregon.

based on the cap color, fruitbody shape, and especially wrinkled/rivulose cap margin, but the KOH reaction did not match that published for C. callimorphus, which is why I proposed Cortinarius subgenus Phlegmacium here on MO.

IF callimorphus, KOH should be red on cap and spores limoniforme.

Why not multiformis?

if I remember correctly these did not show the pinkish KOH reaction of C. callimorphus. Not sure where to go with them. C. turmalis or some such?
