Observation 151202: Amanita muscaria var. persicina Dav.T. Jenkins
When: 2013-11-04
No herbarium specimen

Notes: These specimens have seen their better days. Between being bitten with frost this morning and run over with a mower at some point in the day, I am amazed there were anything left to find. I found these at the edge of a dense “scrub” pine thicket growing in the lawn grass behind the shopping center here in town. They were plentiful but the photos here are of the “better” specimens. The rest were beat up pretty bad. Heartbreaking.
