Notes: Found in lawn. Couldn’t get permission to take closer photos. White gills, red-brown caps, becoming white at edges; stipe reddish.

Plentiful, but not clumping.

Seems to be Collybia-like (now Gymnopus?). Rather than clumping, individual specimens, by the hundreds, and trooping everywhere in this lawn. Two years ago, an aging Golden Chain tree was removed from the area about 40 feet distant. Perhaps these are arrising from buried roots or degraded leaves? There is a Douglas-fir some 150 feet distant. There is also a rather protective German Shepherd in the back.
