Notes:
Possibly Psathyrella or Psilocybe or maybe even conocybe. Dark black gills. No blue on stem though I am color deficient. cap 1 cm in diameter. On wooded forest floor in trail. Base of stem had thick, hard “root mass”

Interestingly under Arora keys out a Psathyrella with a “tap root”, multipedata. Though one of Mushroom Observers pics of multipedata looks a lot like this on, it is a clustered mushroom and this one was solitary.
