Used references: According to M. Kuo: " Stereum (spp) lack a pore surface, and therefore has a smooth underside. In other words, it is a crust fungus rather than a polypore." Also grows on hardwoods.

I can’t be certain…

…I attempted to take an underside image and was talking with a fellow hunter at the same time. I believe the individual specimen held in hand is the underside, but looking back I can’t be certain.
