but M. Kuo’s point is that they can’t be separated macroscopically. I think it’s clear that this is Hygrocybe but there doesn’t seem to be enough information to take it to species.

stipe seems short

for H. cantharellus, and gills seem to be subdecurrent, not quite decurrent
