Notes: KOH line down the middle of the cut stipe shows as a darker line.

Recognized by sight: The closest look-alike in my mind is Cortinarius catharinae, with a bright red KOH-reaction on the cap. There are different interpretations of fulmineus, but it should at least have yellow gills..
