Notes: a single fruitbody from the same mycelium as observation 114667.
With a single tiny alder tree growing from the soilbound roots on the tip up of a very large old conifer.

The OMS Mycoflora group had our half of the collection sequenced with the same result, Buchwaldoboletus lignicola. I think Joe Cohen knows the location so we will check for Phaeolus schweinitzii next year.

looks like a Buchwaldoboletus to me.
the tree association should be a conifer.
