why does wiki say just the opposite?

“According to the taxonomical database MycoBank, several taxa once considered varieties of P. semilanceata are synonymous with the species now known as Psilocybe strictipes” Furthermore, Alan Rockefeller posted this same mushroom 2 days ago and listed it as Ps. strictipes, not semilanceata.

These seem so large for liberty caps,is that an environmentel thing? All I have ever seen are mycerna resembling liberty caps.

Sequencing of many P. strictipes has determined that they are P. semilanceata. Environmental influences/phenotypic influences.

So…
Seems to be the same species at liberty caps..

Why not strictipes?
