Observation 154342: Mycena olivaceomarginata (Massee) Massee

Notes: In troops under pine; no grass, only needles. Caps and stems fragile. No significant odor or taste. Gill margins reddish.

Spores 8-9 × 4.5-5.5. Basidia ~25+5 x 8; both 2- and 4-spored basidia present. Cheilocystidia 55-70 × 12-14. No obvious pleurocystidia.

Both fresh and dry mushrooms look somewhat different from previous collections of olivaceomarginata (Observation 116566, Observation 118372). All three have a bit smaller spore size than described (9.5-11.5 × 4.5-6.5).
