Notes: Large clusters associated with roots/buried wood; scaley hairs on cap; brownish cap; thick, fleshy partial veil that has cottony appearance; possibly another species of Armillaria but likely A. mellea due to the species’ abundance and diverse appearances in the Bay Area. Fully matured specimens were not found.
