Recognized by sight: Has an orange, vase-like pileus as well as decurrent and deformed gills. It was found on the ground growing as a cluster. The stipe also had an orange tinge to it.
Used references: Confirmed the name change from Gomphus to Turbinellus using the website Index Fungorum.
