I should be able to get a shot of the interior

It was very close to where i live so hopefully if i go back i can find it and it will be in good condition. Thanks for informing me, i didn’t even think that photographing was necessary. I learn so much from you all

If you still have the specimen, need a photo of the interior. Most truffles and truffle-like fungi need photos of both the exterior (including any basal attachments, if any) and the interior (chambered/spongy or solid/veined) for a better identification. Some of these fungi even have a latex which is quite helpful for identification. Even the aroma, if any, can assist.
