Observation 155643: Amanita polypyramis (Berk. & M.A. Curtis) Sacc.

Notes: A beautiful mushroom found underneath a pine tree, but also mixed oaks in the area. The annulus is beautiful. Also, I found strange that the scent of this Amanita is quite special, it is clearly and vividly sweet, just like stuffing your face into a bag of fruit loops cereol, or close to the fresh blooms of a Tea Olive shrub. Strikingly sweet.
No bruising noticed. Quit large, about 8" from volva to pileus.
