I saw in the internet, I believe this is closer to B. comptus that to B. mendax, though I could not find a good discription for the latter. For the former, the description give at boletales.com fits quite well to this specimen.

for the very interesting proposal. There is no defined recticulate, only at the top of the stem near the tube one can see something alike. Regarding you question, what is smooth or floccose? the cap? If so, the answer is yes and no part is floccose. I tought that this is some species close to B. luridus but with yellow flesh under the tubes that becomes dark when exposed.
