Based on microscopic features: Yeah yeah, there’s a germ pore. Maybe this is Pholiota, sure doesn’t look like one.

I wish mushroomobserver had a feature so that when I vote, I get to explain why I voted that way. If such a feature existed, I would have said it was because the spores have a germ pore, and the pileipellis is a cutis.

why do you think this cannot be an Inocybe?
they are known to have metuloids and the spores and habitat look about right, no?

Byrain, are you saying that those Galerina species w/ metuloids…may not be Galerina?

i found “something” like this before…
