And well rained on… you found these at the end of Dec. in Ohio… shouldn’t you be under snow there?

We were under snow for a week or so, and then it got warm and rained for three or four days. There are actually quite a few mushrooms out this winter.

I saw some almost that size a couple years back at Pt. Reyes in Dec…

couldn’t believe it at first, either! got a beautiful spore print off it, tho, which is now being used by Earth and Fire (Erowid) for their psychoactive mushroom display (the brown galerina spore print showing you what you DON’T want to see when hunting those blue-stainers!)

Biggest Galerina I’ve ever seen. It’s no wonder some people confuse this with Armillaria
