comments Danny. Not a good observation by me. It was a challenge to find things in Florida. I will sequence the Marasmius just for fun.

I see one, weathered, highly camouflaged thing which might be construed as a Marasmius (wiry stipe and occurrence on leaf litter are more Marasmius characters than Marasmiellus ones). the dried up Hymenochaete, the Herpothallon rubrocinctum and the resupinate poroid thing were what stood out to me at first.

Can’t you see that tiny agaric with the horsehair stipe? It is that fungi that this is about. But I admit it is practically invisible…, Not a great photo for sure!
