…unfortunately. I have several hundred photos of mushrooms taken before I realized the importance of taking proper field notes (and spore prints, and pics at various angles, etc.). Am still a complete novice at identification, hoping to improve my skills with the help of this website!

Is there are photo of the gills? Need to get photos of all details here… This is probably not H. coccinea, there is too much orange in it. You need to look at the gills, there are a number of small red-orange Hygrocybes, but H. coccinea will have red gills, the rest have most yellow gills, some white, some orange to yellow.
