Observation 157384: Cortinariaceae R. Heim ex Pouzar
When: 2014-01-08
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Found this at the Food Bin co-op in Downtown Santa Cruz and had to buy it ($3.50). I was alarmed to see a gilled mushroom in a bag labeled Porcini, but I am told it is not an uncommon sight. The back of the package says these mushrooms are imported from China. The package did not smell good, certainly not like porcini. Any idea’s?
