Observation 157690: Ganoderma tsugae Murrill
When: 2014-01-11
No herbarium specimen
0 Sequences

Ganoderma growing on ground in mulch (city corner, near court house) but not attached to a tree.
Stalk is central and not lateral like typical G. tsugae or G. luciderium. Multiple fruiting bodies and multiple ages in a partial ring organization.

Pores appeared brown and not white but that could be due to age.

Recognized by sight: Terrestrial form. Probably growing on tree before it was chipped (made into mulch). Little to suggest it is growing on hemlock vs. other hardwood or softwood.
