It was mainly by the similarity with some species of Crinipellis: The (hairiness) stem and the gills fit perfectly, only the cap though (color) zonate lacks hairs.

tend to have some amount of hairiness on the stipe, cap surface or both. I do not know if this is a requisite genus characteristic. they also mostly (but not exclusively) grow on wood, sticks, or herbacious debris (as opposed to being truly terrestrial).

was there anything in particular that lead you to Crinipellis?
