but no pores visible with bare eye. The fruitbody was very large (15 cm diameter) and had a short but massive brown stipe (2 cm diameter). Growing on soil on first sight, but as it was difficult to remove, I asume that it has grown on wood /a root. Further it was striking that the fruitbody had the ability to “grow around” a little piece of a branch (compare with PC300911.JPG).

difficult to tell from photos. some are so small that a loupe, extreme closeup photo, or dissecting scope is required to see them.
