Observation 158933: Tricholoma vaccinum (Schaeff.) P. Kumm.
When: 2014-01-14
Who: Byrain

Notes: I have limited micro for this which I will upload when I find time, it has smooth hyaline spores & large basidia. I’m uploading this now for the observation number so I don’t confuse the collection.

It had a pronounced & unusual spiced/musky (?) odor.

The spore sizes & appearance with the single large guttule match this rather well. I’m having a hard time finding good online information for T. vaccinum. This certainly had an odor which doesn’t seem to match the mushroom expert description only that I’m not really sure how to best describe it…

Also have basidia that are much longer than the spores? This is not Inocybe, the micro is way wrong, I thought it was Inocybe too in the field…
